Portland-based eyewear label Shwood and skateboard company HUF recently joined forces for a new experiment - to make a pair of sunglasses from broken skateboard decks. Crafted entirely in Shwood’s very own workshop, this one-off pair (no, unfortunately they’re not for sale…) was made purely out of curiosity - to test their limits and to see what is possible.
My reaction is: Okay, you know these are possible, please make some more! We’ve mentioned uses for broken decks before (examples here and here and here, and probably more I can’t find right now), but these really stand out…
