So checking out Google Streetview today, I found that you can virtually walk right up the front steps of the Metropolitan Museum Of Art, go in and look around. Apparently they have a project called Art Project that includes the Met and many other museums of note from around the world, including MOMA, The Freer Gallery and National Gallery of the Smithsonian, the State Hermitage Museum, The Van Gogh Museum, and the Uffizi Gallery! It’s very cool, though if you’re an art lover, be prepared to waste lots of time. It seems like a great way to make me want to visit all of these places.
